MOONZZ - COME AROUND (NIKÖ BLANK REMIX)

Man the fantastic rabbit hole of MOONZz remixes just keeps getting deeper and deeper. I know it seems like we post a lot of MOONZz tunes, but with remixes like Nikö Blank's how could you not! Dive into this juicy and orchestral take on "Come Around." Nikö starts the record with layers of beautiful harps, pads, strings and piano creating a mystical sonic landscape that further enhances the hushed intensity of original's chord progression. In a sweep you off your feet build we're brought into a pumping future bass drop that's as hype as it is relieving. I say relieving merely because by the time we're finally brought up into those jump around chorus highs it feels soo completely right. Nikö did a tremendous job with both the sound design and arrangement of this remix incorporating lots of different synths, vox chops, percussion and even TRUMPETS. HYDDE & MOONZz - ANYTHING YOU WANT (SEAN TURK REMIX)

When this gem found it's way onto my radar, I immediately knew I would love it. MOONZz and Sean Turk are two of my favorite fastest rising artists of 2016, the former exploding with her single "Satisfy" being featured in THREE Victoria's Secret ad campaigns and the latter getting the approval of DJ Snake and Bipolar Sunshine on his debut remix/cover. The original here, which MOONZz made with newcomer HYDDE, was my favorite track off her Trust Cycles EP, so seeing it get the #BedroomBass remix treatment from Sean Turk was the cat's pajamas (he's done some FIRE remixes for other amazing tracks already such as Stephen's "Crossfire" and Brandyn Burnette's "Closer").

Turk respected the original's production work, maintaining the vibe, while kicking it up a notch with some dance-floor-friendly snappy hi hats and a new weaving synth lead during the chorus—perfect compliments to MOONZz's entrancing vocal and memorable songwriting. If it wasn't radio ready before, it definitely is now. Can't wait to see what's in store for his originals!

MOONZZ - WONDER (DNMO REMIX)

Well our infatuation with MOONZz continues and the remixes of her new EP 'Trust Cycles' are just starting to break beginning with young upstart producer DNMO's take on "Wonder." We reviewed his first release, a driving rework of NGHTMRE, Krewella and Pegboard Nerds' "Superstar," and we were excited to hear his follow up. This "Wonder" remix is a magical rework with driving bass, pads and piano lifting up MOONZz's vocals to new heights. The chorus hits and we dive into a distorted drop of hammering bliss. MELVV & MOONZZ - GOODBYE

I can't believe it's already been over a year since I got to meet the yung startup Melvv in his first LA performance. Flash forward, the future is looking real bright for the teenage Milwaukee born beat maker with this incredible collab with one of our faves MOONZz. "Goodbye" is full of earworms with the "ah ah ah's" providing much of the skeleton of the tune. The chorus has quick thumping synth flashes melodically mirroring the vocals. MOONZz - WONDER

I mean .... MOONZz tho! I actually relate to her quite a bit. I may not be able to sing like her -- this LA goddess has got some pipes -- and she creates some of the most delicious electronic pop sounds my ears have heard over the past year.  She's also been featured on many dope tracks from emerging future bass artists, lending her talent and being amazing! She's also a fan of hugs so, that's cool. I find common ground with MOONZz because I too know what it's like to be beautiful and talented all at the same time ... sometimes it's real hard but we get by. My soul sista is crushing!! This is awesome for many reasons, I love starting off the day with tracks like this! First, this combo of music makers is on point! We kinda feel like we were around when young PLS&TY was born, and have supported pretty much everything he put into the world over the past year.  Also I had multiple people send me this track, which only means industry is getting behind this LA producer to make some big moves! Then there is my girl MOONZz! We got to hug on each other last week at SXSW (don't be jelly) and be all girly and such as .... so much fun to finally meet her in person and .... BLU J x MOONZZ - GDBYE

So many awesome things going on in the music world today! This one tho, is pretty great! Blu J and MOONZz got together to create this badass collab and it's pretty much the best thing ever! MOONZz - TOP 5 SUMMER JAMS

It's the first of March - which means for us on the west coast, summer is just days away!  So, it's time to bring back our Top 5 Summer Jams for 2016  - where we feature an artist's voice on tracks they are listening to, making, or just loving - either way it's all things amazing! Our girl MOONZz is kicking things off which I could not be more happy about - she's been killing it lately and we love to show her love whenever we can! This song is just so close to me that I had to pick it.Through it all, I wrote this song that helped me cope and ultimately rise above a toxin in my life. Dejà Vu is a feeling I've felt before - the rawest form of heartbreak - and then happily haunting the one that hurt me most.

I've been lucky enough to meet the talented trio & it's been the best feeling to hear how far they've come. Tyrone's voice is so raw and I've always loved that about their music.

Taylor McFerrin - Decisions (ft. Emily King)
Taylor's production is immaculate - he's easily one of my favorite producers, specifically on Brainfeeder. Beautiful pockets filled with percussive velvet. His collaboration with Nai Palm (of Haitus Kaiyote) is also one of my favorites.

This song is straight gold. I listen to this almost everyday- driving around LA; refocusing, and seeing everything come to life.
