CAPYAC - OOEEOOEEOO (TEDDY ROXPIN REMIX FT. LANDO CHILL)

Music, Original MixSara NatkinsComment

CAPYAC’s “Ooeeooeeoo” just got a vibrant hip-hop makeover courtesy of producer Teddy Roxpin and experimental hip-hop artist Lando Chill. The original track, released earlier this year, was the final single ahead of CAPYAC’s aptly-titled album CAPYAC FOREVER. Lauded by Rolling Stone, “Ooeeooeeoo” is an indie-disco triumph with wiggly rhythm patterns and silky vocals to match. Taking the original and flipping it upside down with their hip-hop disposition, Teddy Roxpin and Lando Chill rewire the surrealist tune and give it a new kind of bounce. One half of production duo Underwater Chess Club, Teddy Roxpin is a designer of sound specializing in hip-hop and rap. A behind-the-scenes visionary for kingpin artists like Mac Miller, Future, Logic, and more, the beat-maker brings his versatile sound to match the zany prowess of CAPYAC at the heels of his latest album Endless Beginnings. Seamlessly matching Roxpin’s energy, Lando Chill brings his introspective style to this “Ooeeooeeoo” remix. Known to distill elements of funk, gospel, jazz, folk, and psychedelic indie-rock with modern hip-hop, the activist and multi-hyphenate artist hypes up the original track with colorful, catchy bars.

We were looking at dates for a re-schedule, but then fucking covid come and ruined everything!! Someday tho … I still have faith we will be together again feeling vibes! Rudimental’s electro pop drum & base R&B hip-hop sound is like none other … they make me swoon! Their latest jam “Come Over ft. Anne-Marie & Tion Wayne” is so fucking slick, you gotta get into this one! Swoop it up HERE!

[PREMIERE] NO WYLD x MEMBA - OFF FOR THE NIGHT

PREMIERE, Original MixGuest UserComment

Some of the best tracks pull you in and take you for a ride, “Off For The Night” is no exception and conjures a long walk through the streets of Brooklyn at night contemplating how to get your shit together, with a precipitous series of revelations crashing over you as the journey progresses. NY Producer duo MEMBA and Auckland, New Zealand transplants No Wyld masterfully blend genres to deliver a measured, but brooding, original that channels feelings of frustration we all feel at one point or another. The track’s lyrics insinuate a need for escape, a common theme in music but one that when done right strikes a chord in anyone listening. Both of these groups of artists have great things on the horizons, make sure to check out more of MEMBA’s music here, as well as No Wyld's here.

ATCQ - ELECTRIC RELAXATION (T4PES X NICK AM EDIT)

Music, RemixNathan ThostComment

Brooklyn's T4PES & Nick AM team up to retune A Tribe Called Quest's, "Electric Relaxation", giving the classic track a  upbeat, dance- floor-ready vibe. The two producers ratchet up the tempo and drop in a driving, heavy bass line that gives the song more spring in its step, bringing to mind early Kayranada remixes of Mos Def and Common. Make sure to snag a download of the track HERE! Swing by T4PES & Nick AM's soundclouds for more of their music.
