No one brings the feels better than our boy Le Youth. This Los Angeles producer put his sound on new remix of “Settle” by Dezza & Lauren L’aimant. It’s like floating through an endless sea of synthy beats and soft vibrant vocals. The Colorize crew have been destroying … everything coming out of that crew is brilliant. MILD MINDS - WALLS (THROWING SNOW REMIX)

Music, RemixErin MaherComment

As we’re slowing coming to the end of another tumultuous week here in the US - I’m spending my day turning to my UK dance music brethren to relieve some of my woes … and as their country goes back into a new covid shutdown I mentally prepare for America to do the same in about 6 to 8 weeks. I send my love out to the British people by simply saying … let’s dance in lockdown! Deep house producer Throwing Show dropped this rad remix of “Walls” from Mild Minds which you can swoop via Foreign Family Collective. With it’s warm vibes and synthy melodies, this groove creates a sexy dance backdrop to our pandemic problems … and while we might not be able to be up in the club, we can feel this one at our at home dance parties.

GRYFFIN x JOHN MARTIN - CRY (TRIVECTA REMIX)

Music, RemixErin MaherComment

I used to look forward to Monday’s … back before COVID and when I was working at the club. I had the best assistant a girl could ask for; Sarah and I were like two peas in a pod. She loves, and I mean LOVES all that melodic bass goodness and turned me onto a bunch of young producers making waves in the genre like this this delicious nugget right here … Trivecta. Sarah and I must have tried 10 times to put him on a show and unfortunately it never worked out. His new remix of “Cry” by Gryffin and John Martin has that huge melodic trance and beefy bass sound that will give anyone the feels. I can imagine Sarah and I sitting at our desks blasting this jam as loud as possible and chair dancing like crazy as our work mates laughed at our antics. Good times. Happy Monday y’all!

[PREMIERE] ZOLA COURTNEY - NOTHING TO LOSE (EKCLE REMIX)

Music, PREMIERE, RemixAlli LindseyComment

At the heels of a milestone remix for DJ Shadow and De La Soul, Bristol-based twosome Ekcle returns to the forefront of emerging alternative dance music with a wicked new take on Zola Courtney’s “Nothing To Lose.” The namesake track to her 2019 EP Nothing To Lose, Courtney’s celebrated indie-pop single is a tailor-made sound template for the always-imaginative Ekcle. A glimpse into their zealous artistic perspective, the budding musical duo gives the already-impressive cut a kaleidoscopic treatment. Embedded in the experimental fabric that Ekcle is best known for, this opulent remix still manages to pay homage to the original pop-oriented gem. Steeped in the left-of-center style they’re best known for, Ekcle orchestrates a flip that is widely accessible without compromising their complex, digital sound-design. A vibrant, polished remix overwhelmed with replay value, Ekcle’s “Nothing To Lose” reimagination is a one-of-a-kind soundtrack.

We can all agree that 2020 has been the worst year. I won’t go on and on about how stressful and crazy the past 4 months have been personally, because we are all going through it - but what I can say is that the one thing I will miss the most this year is my boat party with Goldroom. High Seas may be canceled in 2020, but we’ll come back stronger than ever! Until then - here is a new Goldroom remix of “Miscommunications” by Ant Saunders for all the summertime vibes!
