LANA DEL REY & THE WEEKND - LUST FOR LIFE (VALENTINE & ROB ARAUJO REMIX)

Music, RemixAlli LindseyComment

I have one rule- don't remix Zeppelin. Anyone, and anything else is up for grabs, but that doesn't mean it's an easy feat. For example, America's ultimate sad girl, Lana Del Rey...not easy to flip. Her charmingly smoky vocals, and avant-garde depression- it works. But Moving Castle's Valentine, and multi-instrumentalist Rob Araujo tackled a Lana remix with a swift swagger. The original track, "Lust For Life" featuring The Weeknd just got a chrome makeover, and a taste of the future. Light up your square, Lana, it's impressive. The co-remix heeds elements of future bass, glitch funk, and uses bouncy production to hollow out a landscape for Lana, and The Weeknd's grammy award winning vocals to continue to shine. This track goes up, down, and side to side yet remains strictly, and intentionally composed. This "Lust For Life" remix is far out enough to be the future of indie-electronic, and approachable enough to remind you of the most witchy woman in the game right now.

THE WEEKND - LOW LIFE FT. FUTURE (KAYLIOX REMIX)

Music, RemixEricComment

Sometimes we have to take good news with some bad. I always prefer good news first so I'll start with this epic track! Get your ears on this brand spankin' new Kayliox bootleg of The Weeknd's "Low Life ft. Future." We start with a spicy lead synth line above the beat when everything chills out to make room for The Weeknd's incredible pipes. We're quickly brought back up into a snarling synth drop that's groovy af. This track is moody in such a good way, making a dance floor heater out of the original. Now to the bad news... : (. We just found out that Matt and Francis have decided to part ways. Francis will continue with the Kayliox moniker while Matt will explore a new musical journey. Sorry to hear about the split guys, but we'll be here to support in whichever way the future brings! Grab this as a free dl here

THE WEEKND - THE HILLS FT. AMORY (JR NELSON REMIX)

Music, Cover, RemixErin MaherComment

How can we resist another Weeknd cover remix, especially when it's from a talented young producer like JR Nelson! He may be new around these parts, but we are loving his future soul sound and kinda think he's dreamy! His version of "The Hills ft. Amory" is light with synthy beats and airy vocals! There's so much sexiness here too ... so saucy .....so good!  Really looking forward to seeing more awesome things from JR Nelson this year!  You can swoop this track HERE for free!  Get into this kids!

THE BEST OF 2015!

Music, Original Mix, RemixErin MaherComment

One thing I have always said is that I am definitely not a music journalist!  Beautiful Buzzz was created as an outlet where I can tell my friends about all the great music I come across - and over the past few years we've grown into a fun place where people can find new tracks and listen to my stories! This Best Of 2015 list is personal; it's a combination of tracks I loved and great moments I had working with the artists over the past year - whether it was through the blog, at one of my Beautiful Buzzz shows, or just a night out on the town!!  Enjoy!!
