Delivering his final single of the year, TRAILS releases his indie-pop anthem “Hold My Soul” with the help of Ben Esser and lyrics from Esser. His moving production style is impossible to deny, and his latest track is no different. Sculpted from the sounds of contemporary pop, “Hold My Soul” stays true to TRAILS’ left-of-center songwriting to create a melting pot of zestful sounds. A colorful track with invigorating hooks and a spirited feminine topline, TRAILS is exiting 2019 with no stone unturned. Following a monumental year, fans can only expect more greatness from the German pioneer in 2020.
TRAILS - LEARN TO LOVE ME (FEAT. JABS)
Music, Original MixCommentCombatting mental health awareness through songwriting and production, German producer TRAILS reveals “Learn To Love Me” featuring JABS. A wicked fusion of alt rock and nu-soul the moving track is a surreal ode to self-love. The track begins with looming electronic plucks that collide like the birth of a star with JABS’ with thunderous, honey-dipped vocals. The instrumental chorus is defined by fiery electronic guitar cadences with a retro film cascading atop. An expulsion of feverish melodies compliment a little bit of groove and a whole lot of passion. Polar in its nature, “Learn To Love Me” boasts a sanguine message with a fierce delivery. We already need more from TRAILS- watch this space.
RL GRIME - CORE (TRAILS FLIP)
Music, RemixCommentIt’s Fri-yay y’all! I’m getting ready to head out into the desert for my first year of Nocturnal Wonderland this weekend. Definitely ready to let go a little stress from the week and get ready to do some dancing and let loose ya know? This tune is helping me out for sure. TRAILS is a name we’ve seen popping up a lot the last year. The rising producer from Germany is becoming known for his unique reworks of Flume, Goldroom, Louis The Child, and others. His lone original “Crying In The Shadows”, released earlier this year, is an awe-inspiring fusion of genres and even includes a killer guitar solo. TRAILS demonstrates a level of understanding of production and musicality that I think is becoming less and less prevalent among many of today’s new producer/DJs. This new take on the classic RL Grime trap banger breathes a whole new life into the track. He injects super summery future bass vibes while still preserving the essence of the original. Keep an eye on TRAILS fam, cause he’s going places!
