The dreamy British vocalist Leon Else is back with my favorite disco duo from Los Angeles, Oliver, on a retro but new single “The City Don’t Care.” The song will resonate with any big city boy or girl, especially if you’re an Angeleno. Leon writes the record about the loop-set lifestyle of living in LA, and the pairing of the paradise vibe with the “deceiving side of the city,” as he described it. A friend played this for me the other day, and I was dancing in my seat so hard that my pup, Lou, jumped up to check if mommy was okay. We’ll be seeing this name more often, so stay tuned for more!

Guys! Our Goldroom (Live) show in San Francisco on April 8 at Mezzanine is almost sold out! These tickets went so fast! I'd definitely swoop them now before they are gone! 

This is a very fun day, because being able to bring you a Top 5 Summer Jams from someone like Goldroom is pretty special! This legend is one of our besties, and it's been such an amazing journey with him over the past few years! I actually debuted his live set at my SXSW show in 2013, and we've been together ever since! Legend! He's put together a great selection of discolicious deep house jams that will have us longing for our wild summertime nights! Goldroom has a number of US West Coast live dates coming up, including Coachella, so check his schedule HERE and get out to a show!  We'll see you in San Francisco!

Janet Jackson - Pleasure Principle (Classixx Remix)
I do boat parties during my High Seas Tour every summer and I think I played this excellent Classixx rework at pretty much every party last year.

I've tried writing songs called Xanax more than once. They never work out. This one did.

Fred Falke It's A Memory (Oliver Remix)
Two of my bigger production inspirations on one song together. There's something special about driving around with this song blasting.

Ah yess another amazing "It's A Memory" remix! Fred Falke has lined up some killer artists to rework his single featuring slick versions by Amtrac (listen here), Chrome Sparks (here) and now Oliver! Coming off of rich remixes of Jack Ü's "To Ü ft. AlunaGeorge" and BORNS' "Electric Love." Oliver stays hot with a feel good, perfectly 80's take on the original with a groovier lead synth line of the original's melody, and oh soo funky bass. Oliver comes close to out-funking Fred Falke on this one ha ha, but lets be real no one can do that. The whole remix EP is due to drop on February 26th but you can grab that pre-sale here.

The next adventure for Beautiful Buzzz .... we're heading south!! Working on the OASIS FSTVL SERIES has been fun and challenging, everything you could possibly want with the career you choose! We have also made some pretty great new friends who we are so happy to be working with, and laughing with, and loving this experience with! Saturday June 13 is the first of 4 monthly mini-fest events in downtown San Diego at SILO!  Our first includes The Gaslamp Killer, Oliver, Penguin Prison, Moving Units, IackLNDN + more!
