MADEON - NIRVANA

Last night I was one of the lucky few who were able to celebrate the release of Madeon’s Good Faith album while attending his show at the largest audience he’s ever played to as a headliner in San Francisco … and all I can say is WOW WOW WOW! Me and 8000 other fans experienced one of the greatest shows from this prolific French producer, everything about it was bananas. From the visuals to the song selection, it was incredible tasteful and a complete mind blowing journey of light and music and love. I’m so impressed that I’ve had this record on repeat all day! SPIRIX - LITTLE DOUBTS (FT. AVIELLA)

I first discovered Spirix when his remix of “Glory Days” by Sweater Beats and Hayley Kiyoko was algorithmically fed to me by my Spotify Discover Weekly or Release Radar, can’t remember which one exactly. I knew right away that this young producer had real talent. Turns out he has some mutual friends of the blog as well in Moving Castle founders Robotaki and Manila Killa. Definitely check out his remix of their track “I Want You” feat. Matthew John Kurz here.

His latest single “Little Doubts” is further reason to keep the name Spirix firmly on your radar. Sweet and light synth melodies provide a gently building introduction perfectly paired with the soft vocal stylings of Aviella, who has a great songwriting career ahead of her. The energy picks up and Spirix goes on to gift us two explosive drops with the kind of chord stabs that get you grinning wide and throwing down on the dance floor. He apparently made his live debut at Snowglobe this past NYE and I can only imagine it was quite the set. I can’t wait for more Spirix originals like this one, and I hope more are coming soon!

VICETONE - NEVADA (FEAT. COZI ZUEHLSDORFF)

Vicetone has been steadily becoming a household name over the last couple of years. Built on robust production and instantly catchy hooks, their new tune "Nevada" featuring the Disney Channel youngster Cozi Zuehlsdorff sweeps you off your feet from the second you hit play. The tune starts with childlike bells leading us through the first verse into the "hey ya's" that really got my attention. The timbre of Cozi's voice during that part somehow reminds me of an indigenous chant comparable to the soundtrack of Avatar (seriously lol). After the second verse the tune descends into a beautiful guitar and what sounds like harp breakdown that turns this record into something even more transcendental.  You can nab this on digital iTunes from Monstercat here.     

EMBER ISLAND - NEED YOU (CLOUDCHORD REMIX)

Well I'm back in the swing of things still missing/remembering/recovering from the epic week we had in Austin at SXSW. To my delight Austin's Cloudchord, who graciously performed an incredible set on our stage Friday night with booming thunderclouds over head, sent over this epic remix of Ember Island's voluptuous single "Need You." Cloudchord delivers a beautifully melodic rendition of the track involving his signature guitar and pumping bass lines that envelope Ember Island's chilled out vocals. Just loving this tune. [PREMIERE] CHRISTIAN CARCAMO - CLOSER 2 YOU (SANDER W x RAMI REMIX)

Premiering a track from a new producer we have yet to talk about are the kind of premieres I love the most! Not only do we get to spotlight a great piece of music, but we get to give that extra push to fresh young artists from out the gate! Belgian producer Sander W teamed up with Rami to remix "Closer 2 You" by Christian Carcamo and we are loving all the tropical vibes coming from this one! It's a cold wet morning here in NorCal, and this chill tropical beat is definitely putting the Monday blues to rest. I can just close my eyes and dream of summertime poolside parties at a beach side paradise ..... this is some delicious deep house made for your soul!  You can grab a free download HERE! 

2 PAC - CHANGES (SHEMCE REMIX)

It's been a fantastic day of releases and announcements here a BB. I'm bringing you another excellent remix from our Canadian homie Shemce! The dude's having a killer year coming off an official remix of Audien's "Something Better ft Lady Antebellum" and we've had the pleasure of premiering his last couple of remixes of Deadmau5's "Strobe" and A$AP Rocky's "LSD" but now I'm bringing you this superb rework of 2Pac's "Changes." This track is full of life and exuberance perfect to heat up a chilly day in LA (which I hear is actually colder than the east coast right now whattt??) regardless, this track is firing up my apartment with a lead synth melody that just makes you wanna jump around like a maniac.
