SAINT WKND & MAX - SURVIVE (PLS&TY REMIX)

One month ago, SAINT WKND and MAX teamed up to bring to fruition their collaborative single, "Survive." While the original piece is a stand-out single on its own, Palm Beach-based PLS&TY took the track and ran with the wind on his "Survive" remix. The OG track is indefinitely more low fidelity, intentionally sending notes through a grainy filter to create a vintage electronic sound. While maintaining respect for the proprietors, PLS&TY shifted "Survive" into a colorful, kinetic masterpiece. Emitting colorful vibrations, and an exhilarating resonance, this particular treatment is distinct, outstanding. Each drop is a release of vivacity, bringing life each metaphysical note, making the intangible, tangible. Intense, yet approachable PLS&TY's flip of "Survive" is an animated, electronic anthem with zeal and vigor.

Ahh we've been waiting for this! "Pacific Coast Highway" is the first installment of Two Friends' upcoming debut original 3 song EP 'Out of love.' Appropriate to the name, this track is a total cruiser and is ready made for your long relaxing drive down California's most scenic highway. The vocals from MAX are brilliantly performed and add a definite level of excitement when the song bursts into sax. Holy mother of collabs, we knew this Whethan thing was a growing trend, but shitt now it's a full on tsunami of buzz with this huge new track featuring the one and only Flux Pavilion! Ethan aka Whethan has been building support for his tunes, starting to tour (he crushed it on tour with Bearson last summer) and is now putting out some banger tracks. The "Savage" vocals come courtesy of NYC's actor/singer MAX who's put his pop friendly vocals to this grimey tune full of spikey rhythmic bass, breakdowns of guitar, and a piercing snare. It's always an awesome week when there's new Sweater Beats! Pretty sure I'm going to a show every night this week AND Halloween parties this weekend woop woop! But I'm here to talk about music, specifically this smooth soulful second single off his forthcoming "For The Cold" EP (Big Beat Records). It's a bewitching blend of sultry nineties-esque pop-soul vocals from MAX and the always-on-point rich, innovative production and melodies we've come to expect from Sweater Beats. The release is also timed perfectly ahead of a stacked debut live tour across North America, which kicks off tomorrow night in SF! MAX - 10 VICTORIA'S SECRET MODELS (WHEATHIN REMIX)

This remix is rad! The title of this track definitely lacks creativity in a big way ... but that's not our boy Wheathin's problem! Bad title or not, he crushed this track 6 ways from Sunday! This young Chicago producer is starting to emerge into our world as a serious contender as the next dance music ambassador of feel good future sounds! I love him! His version of "10 Victoria's Secret Models" by MAX is hot!  Wheathin has a few upcoming shows with Bearson over the next week - definitely gonna be at the San Francisco show!
