BENJI LEWIS - RIDE

Music, Original MixAlli LindseyComment

Intoxicating like a cabernet by a warm winter fire, Benji Lewis’ latest release is a river of emotions and intellect. “Ride” is a blanket of feelings, a swim through a vast stream of intoxicating sounds, an effervescent plane of both pleasure and pain. His moving take on alternative resonance is sincere, possessive, moving. Almost impossible to articulate, Benji Lewis blends his medicinal vocal powers with Lincoln Jesser’s feathery production. An indescribable truth radiates from “Ride,” slowing the world around you, awakening your truest self. Lose yourself in this hazy labyrinth defined only by Benji Lewis.

LINCOLN JESSER - BETWEEN THESE LINES FEAT. QUIÑ

Music, Original MixEricComment

Lincoln Jesser returns with another vibe-y deep house cut that's showing off his tropical side. "Between These Lines" is laid back tune that meanders its way forward with ease as the synth stabs lead us into fun drop with a vocal type chop/synth (I can't tell the difference sometimes now-a-days) that adds the exclamation point to the beautiful top line provided by Quiñ. We finally have an announced date of his Casa Mirage EP due November 18. No doubt this single will be included, and as we find out more from the track listing you will be the first to know. You can also stream this from Spinnin' here.

LINCOLN JESSER - LOST WITH YOU

Music, Original MixEricComment

Lincoln Jesser is back with his third release on the iconic Spinnin' Deep imprint. Following up on the hugely successful single "Time Will Tell," Lincoln is back on the vocal duties for this one. "Lost Without You" seems to be a perfectly fitting name for this release due to the mesmerizing nature of the lead piano/synth line. The way the melody winds its way around leads you to feel like you're wandering a peaceful forest with no direction nor end in site. Good thing for us the journey is the destination and the journey feels soo good. The bass hits perfectly to keep you dancing while Lincoln's vocals and the light flute work at the end entrance us into an auditory mirage. Speaking of which, Lincoln also just announced that this single is the first from his Casa Mirage EP coming soon. He also just launched his own Spotify playlist of the same name featuring a mix of chill, deep, funky, and euphoric tunes that he happens to be vibing with at the moment. You can find that playlist here, and you can hear "Lost With You" on Spotify here.

LINCOLN JESSER - TIME WILL TELL (FEAT. SAMUEL JACOB)

Music, RemixEricComment

Our favorite deep house, pop crossover guru Lincoln Jesser is back with another fantastic release on Spinnin' Deep. "Time Will Tell (feat. Samuel Jacob)" is an upbeat piano driven tune with bongos, tambourine, slick melodies, and groovy deep bass. Samuel Jacob's vocals soar above this track with ease adding the finishing touches to a really sweet track! Get your groove on to this record on Spotify and Apple Music here.

[PREMIERE] K.FLAY - FML (LINCOLN JESSER REMIX)

Music, Remix, PREMIEREEricComment

Lincoln Jesser is the man! He's putting quite the catalogue together, and you know it's gonna be fun when K.Flay's involved. We've seen a smattering of "FML" remixes, but none quite like Lincoln's deeper rendition. The track flutters from the start with a quirky synth line placed behind bongos and verse one. Percussion sweeps in taking us to the first dance chorus with a womping deep bass line of floor rattling goodness. By the final chorus we know what we're getting ourselves into, but Lincoln keeps us on our toes with a haunting drone and synth piano hits through the end.

LINCOLN JESSER - BABY BOY FEAT. YUNA

Music, Original MixEricComment

Tuesday here we come! The homie Lincoln Jesser has been throwing jams down track after track. Rocking the Hype Machine charts with a collab with Elephante, a remix for Carnage, and a killer single in "In My Place," Lincoln is primed for a fantastic 2016. He usually lends his own vocals to his records, but for "Baby Boy" he's enlisted the help of the silky smooth pipes of Malaysian superstar Yuna. This record is equal parts chill, but yet still very danceable. The chorus features a synth line that bends as it flirts around the melody accompanied by tropical sounds and vocal chops. Out on Spinnin' Records' new Source imprint you can also grab this on digital retailers here.
