BREATHE CAROLINA X IZII - ECHO (LET GO) (SEAN TURK REMIX)

It’s been exciting to watch Sean Turk start to make a name for himself over the past 10 months. He has an undeniably smooth and vibey production style which straddles indie, pop, and dance while also bringing a little something fresh to every new release. He calls it “Bedroom Bass” which sort of describes it, but it’s more universal than that. 

This latest remix is his first official release for Spinnin’ Records. He’s taken Breathe Carolina and IZII’s “ECHO (LET GO)” which is a great emotional pop/electronic ballad and given it a darkly-tinted future bass makeover. Lush silky synths, pretty piano flourishes, thick wavey chords, and an assortment of powerful yet intricate beats adorn this masterpiece of a rework. Definitely excited to see an original from him, hopefully soon!

PHIL GOOD - SLEEPING IN (SEAN TURK REMIX)

We're big fans of Sean Turk over here at BB. Our boss lady has even gone so far as to say that he's better than tacos. Certainly debatable because...tacos! But when he keeps putting out consistently great quality tracks, like this remix of Phil Good's debut "Sleeping In", it's not hard to see why that claim could be made.

The original's hook "We're always sleeping in" is a next-level ear-worm which has been playing in my head since it came out. Turk's adaptation bumps up the tempo a notch and throws in some super vibey future synths, snappy hi-hats, and the kind of percussion that makes you want to get up and dance like one of those kids in those ridiculous meme videos you see going viral on Facebook. HYDDE & MOONZz - ANYTHING YOU WANT (SEAN TURK REMIX)

When this gem found it's way onto my radar, I immediately knew I would love it. MOONZz and Sean Turk are two of my favorite fastest rising artists of 2016, the former exploding with her single "Satisfy" being featured in THREE Victoria's Secret ad campaigns and the latter getting the approval of DJ Snake and Bipolar Sunshine on his debut remix/cover. The original here, which MOONZz made with newcomer HYDDE, was my favorite track off her Trust Cycles EP, so seeing it get the #BedroomBass remix treatment from Sean Turk was the cat's pajamas (he's done some FIRE remixes for other amazing tracks already such as Stephen's "Crossfire" and Brandyn Burnette's "Closer").

Turk respected the original's production work, maintaining the vibe, while kicking it up a notch with some dance-floor-friendly snappy hi hats and a new weaving synth lead during the chorus—perfect compliments to MOONZz's entrancing vocal and memorable songwriting. If it wasn't radio ready before, it definitely is now. Can't wait to see what's in store for his originals!

BRANDYN BURNETTE - CLOSER (SEAN TURK REMIX)

When I pulled up Sean Turk's facebook info page - I chuckled at the lovely quotes from other music publications about his music, and I thought about how I am never quoted. But I mean, let's face it .... I am not a good writer. I never know what to say and definitely don't get very deep - I really just want you to listen to the music. BTW - I am brilliant a picking great music so I don't feel bad for being a terrible writer. I wanted to see if I could come up with something clever enough to be quoted tho ... so I'll give it my best! This new Sean Turk remix of "Closer" by Brandyn Burnette is better than tacos!
