I can’t tell you how much joy I had seeing a new Love Thy Brother track …. last time I was with this legend we ate chicken mole at this really fancy Mexican restaurant in San Francisco that also has a phat Tequila & Mezcal menu …. and we drank … a lot! What a great time! I have not seen this Canadian producer since … but like this song says “we belong together me and you” and I know one day we will raise a glass to each other again. Until then we have the music, and holy mac this track slaps! “More Than Friends ft. Pretty Sister” is a fantastic dance pop dream full of epic vibrant vocals soaring over disco dancefloor beats and bouncy funky melodies ….. beware because it may cause booty shaking! When artists take a second look at their own music and remix a new version, sometimes it can be a disaster - but many times it's a delightful insight into the endless possibilities that artist sees in what they are creating. Canadian duo Love Thy Brother have done just that with our next premiere! I love the original version of their debut single "Love Me Better ft. Ariel Beesley" - in fact, I believed I called it dance pop perfection. With deep 80's new wave dance grooves and synthy beats - Love Thy Brother crushed this remix! It's like the Drive soundtrack mixed with Phil Collins drum fills and Peter Murphy melodies ... yassss! The entire remix package will be out soon via Bright Antenna Records.

A month after the release of his original mix ‘Run With The Real’ Feat. DAVS, Frank Walker is back with an awesome remix of Love Thy Brother's track ‘Love me Better." The original is an awesome pop/electronic banger with some powerful vocals from Ariel Beesley. Frank Walker does a great job of remixing the song so that it doesn’t lose any of the original awesomeness, but has new added elements to make it his own. Definitely take a look at this one!

Finally! Our Canadian boyfriends Love Thy Brother just released their first original and it's huge! This brother duo has been handing us some of the most delicious remixes over the past year, and they crushed their live set suppoetring Gryffin this past spring on this first sold out US tour. Bananas good! We've been waiting for their debut original with bated breath. "Love Me Better ft. Now that everyone is back from EDC - today seems to be getting back to the normal pace this industry produces - I've been feeling great about getting back to the grind, especially with this latest remix from the ultimate homies Love Thy Brother. My amazing Canadian loves put their indie dance spin on "Emoticons" by The Wombats - holding onto a dark deep house edge with a slight 80's new wave vibe that I am loving! Love Thy Brother can do no wrong actually! Get into this one kids!

One thing I have always said is that I am definitely not a music journalist!  Beautiful Buzzz was created as an outlet where I can tell my friends about all the great music I come across - and over the past few years we've grown into a fun place where people can find new tracks and listen to my stories! This Best Of 2015 list is personal; it's a combination of tracks I loved and great moments I had working with the artists over the past year - whether it was through the blog, at one of my Beautiful Buzzz shows, or just a night out on the town!!  Enjoy!!

MAS YSA - ARROWS (LOVE THY BROTHER REMIX)

We've been talking about this Canadian duo Love Thy Brother so much this year - they've been killing the remix game with one fantastic track after another.  A friend from their hometown of Montreal actually turned me onto these legends and I have been hooked ever since.  This latest remix of "Arrows" by Mas Ysa is a delightful dance track with a shadowy melodies under indie pop vocals - they nail that darker sexy vibe in all the right ways!  You can grab this latest Love Thy Brother free remix HERE!  

LOVE THY BROTHER - TOP 5 SUMMER JAMS

Now that we are all coming to terms that summer has officially passed, some of this cooler weather and west coast rain is much needed and very welcome! Summertime tho .... it does have the ultimate vibes, so we are keeping the Top 5 Summer Jams going all year long!  Canadian duo Love Thy Brother have been making some waves lately with their super sexy remixes, and just recently dropped a killer cover of "Higher Love" and we are digging every bit of it.  We've been talking about them quite a bit actually!  I'm sure its already pretty cold in their hometown of Montreal, but Love Thy Brother have picked 5 jams to keep the sun shining in your hearts, minds and ears! Enjoy! 

Harrison Brome - Midnight Island
Harrison has such a unique voice and is unbelievably only 18 years old. We had the pleasure of working with him on a remix to his other hit “Fill Your Brains”. Don’t sleep on him!

Lawrence Taylor - Bang Bang
We heard this song on the viral chart of Spotify and couldn’t stop listening to it. Lawrence is another young vocalist and Bang Bang was his breakout hit. Great guitar and the production quality is off the charts.

AMTRAC - Hold On
We love Amtrac’s style and couldn’t get enough of his release on Toolroom. Perfect for every set.

Gorgon City - Saving My Life ft. ROMANS
Gorgon City are on an absolute tear, got to see them live this summer and ‘Saving My Life’ was the song of the night.

Sailor & I - Leave The Light On
Sailor and I have been our favourites since Turn Around became the underground anthem last summer. Leave the Light on is a after party heater! Love the Joris Voorn remix as well.
