ANIMÁL - FLIGHT

Music, Original MixSara NatkinsComment

A long-awaited unveiling, ANIMÁL have finally released their debut 12-track album Flight. Following a delay in release to join the Black Lives Matter movement, Jack Murphy and Brady Perrigo enlist the help of pluko’s co-production to create a mirage of rock and roll and indie-dance on their first-ever, feature-length project. At the heels of two impressive singles “Let Me Down” and “A Place In The Sun,” the full album follows suit. Quickly becoming a Beautiful Buzzz favorite, ANIMÁL has mapped a blueprint for success with only three releases under their belt. If ODESZA and RATATAT had a lovechild, it would be named Flight. Between electric guitars, alternative dance melodies, feminine vocal samples, and deep percussive elements, this album is a textured and energizing triumph.

"This album was our way of introducing ANIMÁL to the world by telling a 12-track story front to back.  We wanted to give electronic and alt-rock listeners the best of both worlds- something you can dance to and rock out to at the same time. Hopefully this scratches that itch for a lot of people." -ANIMÁL

Synthesizing a range of emotions and instruments, the Wisconsin-natives flex their versatility on each track. A symphony of sounds born from the musical genius of only two creators, ANIMÁL has a stronghold on the live-electronic industry. An elegant debut, Flight will stay on repeat at the Beautiful Buzzz headquarters for months to come.

TRAILS - LEARN TO LOVE ME (FEAT. JABS)

Music, Original MixSara NatkinsComment

Combatting mental health awareness through songwriting and production, German producer TRAILS reveals “Learn To Love Me” featuring JABS. A wicked fusion of alt rock and nu-soul the moving track is a surreal ode to self-love. The track begins with looming electronic plucks that collide like the birth of a star with JABS’ with thunderous, honey-dipped vocals. The instrumental chorus is defined by fiery electronic guitar cadences with a retro film cascading atop. An expulsion of feverish melodies compliment a little bit of groove and a whole lot of passion. Polar in its nature, “Learn To Love Me” boasts a sanguine message with a fierce delivery. We already need more from TRAILS- watch this space.

SAINT WKND & MAX - SURVIVE (PLS&TY REMIX)

Music, RemixAlli LindseyComment

One month ago, SAINT WKND and MAX teamed up to bring to fruition their collaborative single, "Survive." While the original piece is a stand-out single on its own, Palm Beach-based PLS&TY took the track and ran with the wind on his "Survive" remix. The OG track is indefinitely more low fidelity, intentionally sending notes through a grainy filter to create a vintage electronic sound. While maintaining respect for the proprietors, PLS&TY shifted "Survive" into a colorful, kinetic masterpiece. Emitting colorful vibrations, and an exhilarating resonance, this particular treatment is distinct, outstanding. Each drop is a release of vivacity, bringing life each metaphysical note, making the intangible, tangible. Intense, yet approachable PLS&TY's flip of "Survive" is an animated, electronic anthem with zeal and vigor.

TWIN WAVE - MATADOR

Music, Original MixEricComment

With us walking up the doorsteps to Coachella, South By merely moments ago and festival season completely upon us, it's hard not to walk around with a smile. For music lovers we have reached the mecca of musical paradise: Spring and Summer are finally here! This new track by Twin Wave has exactly the kind of upbeat energy that I'm vibing with hard right now. Sunny bright guitar, a quick rhythm and a totally infectious chorus vocal hook that fills out the instrumental with ease. The Brooklyn based trio has been honing their sound since 2013, but have found a great stride with this new dream pop sound. They cite it lies somewhere between the likes of Future Islands and the Police and I couldn't agree more. I'm excited to hear more from this trio, consider me officially on board the bandwagon!
